Long time no post. So it’s been a solid 3 going on 4 years where I haven’t posted consistently on my page. Terrible, I know. But over the past couple years I’ve taken trips and did not even think about posting them on my photo diary series I have on here, which you guys seem to really enjoy, thank you analytics lol. Any how, as a reminder my photo diaries on here are a collection on photos I have taken on a vacation, I don’t post all because I don’t take a whole lot on vacation because I want to enjoy it. I bring SOOO MANY BIKINIS on vacation and barely get any pictures of it because that’s the furthest from my mind. I don’t know how how people do it when they go on a vacation posting on their stories every hour, 20 thousand pictures etc, I commend you. A lot of alcohol, food and some more alcohol was consumed in this trip which explains the lack of pictures in the Motherland. Be on the lookout for my next photo diary, this week that I am gathering pictures of.

Photo Diary: Columbus, GA
Last week was one of the most exciting weeks I’ve had this summer. Well, it’s a pretty easy explanation for that and it’s because I finally got to see my then boyfriend (i’ll explain why I said that later). For almost 5 months he’s been away in Georgia at basic training; the writing hand letters, speaking briefly for a couple minutes on the phone and etc are pretty much over. This was perhaps a huge milestone in his life and I’m happy I was able to make it and share the moment. There were 2 graduations I guess you can say. One was the Turning Blue ceremony, marking they’re infantry and the next day was the graduation. Georgia was freaking hot, the humidity was insane my hair didn’t last not even 10 minutes stepping out the airplane that was perhaps the only downfall. Other than that everything was pretty cool, the hotel, the foods and even the museum the National Infantry Museum, I think it’s a must see. Everyone was telling me how great it was and that I had to check it out. Luckily I was able to do so. Overall, the trip was good but like mentioned the heat was just … not nice at all. Here are some moments, I wish I could share them all … all 200 of them but I can’t and won’t, but enjoy these few that I had captured along the way.
Oh, and reason I said my then boyfriend earlier is because he’s my fianceé now ….. he did it he asked the big question. He did perhaps the best job picking out both engagement ring and band, because this ring definitely screams my names; simple, so sparkly and white gold. Absolutely freaking perfect!!!!! Now I just feel like it’s mandatory to have my nails done at all times now.
Photo Diary: Washington, D.C
The pass weekend I was able to go to Washington but not just for any old reason but to go see my cousin graduate (exciting)! Only stayed for one and a half days, if that even makes sense. Felt like more because of the adventures we took. While I was there it was burning hot with the temperature not even hitting close to 90 degrees, which was insane. Anyhow was able to go one a tour of all the monuments they have which was cool too see, on a double decker bus. It was cool at first but after awhile we were all over it because 1. too hot 2.too tired 3.getting darker and 4. we started running late for my cousins graduation. From the moment we got off the metro to go get ready it was a hassle, funny now that I look back at it but not before. Here are some snaps I got along the way.
Photo Diary: Dominican Republic
Okay, so I know I’ve been gone for much of December, buuuuut because I went to the Dominican Republic for a little over 2 weeks. There’s SO MUCH to say and write about this trip that it will be impossible to end . First things first is, Dominican Republic is a beautiful place … delicious food, vibrant houses, good music and joyful people well most of the time ha. Not to mention the architecture, the land itself, is all so beautiful. I usually go every year or two and usually go during the summer but this time I went during the cooler time of the year which made a huge difference. The temp wasn’t overwhelming the first couple a days with nice breezes as you sit and rock yourself in the rocking chair, I think going during the winter is a big plus.
Started the trip in the Capital, then took off to Nizao where my family stays, Bani the next day then back to Nizao. Then, La Romana, Higuey, then back to Nizao then Saona Island then back to Nizao. The photos are in order from when I landed to the very last day of my trip which was yesterday. Not too mention I took my camera everywhere and have about over a 1,000 photos not to forget photos on my phone which adds about 500 + more. But I’ll obviously wont post them all because that’ll be overwhelming for people to continuously scroll down. So i’ll try key word TRY to narrow it down to as little as possible. There was so much good food, good people, good music, and just endless new adventures along the trip. It was definitely a great way to spend my winter break there, not to mention weird being home. I hope you enjoy the photos, that I wish I can show all. Happy New Year!
Happy 2015
